Art Project: DIY Picture Frame

Aztec print or tribal print as some choose to call it, is a major trend this year in fashion and has been replicated over and over again in many ways and multicolours. Of course I had to do my adaption of the print at some point. Thus, the artist in me manifested (yeah, manifested).

Inspired by the DIY iphone case on Unexpected Expectations, I decided to get arty with a wooden frame I got in the goodie bag from the champagne brunch.

My canvas of choice, this plain picture frame:
Look at me, boring and... wooden :-/
What you need:
  • Multicolour Tulip Slick fabric paints
  • White work top (it doesn't have to be white)
  • Q-tips/ear buds (for cleaning little messes)
  • Tissue
Meet my coloured friends, ready to jazz up my life

And the work begins...

Moments later... Tada!!!

My next messy project will be filling in the empty spaces of my life represented in this piece of art by Ofili of ofilispeaks. And even if I can't fill them all, it's okay to have those empty spaces.
