THE BIRKIN

Brief history of the very pompous arm candy:
Named after Jane Birkin in 1984, the Birkin bag is a hand built purse from Hermes with a waiting list of up to 3 years and takes up to 48 hours to make from exotic skins including their controversial crocodile skin (yeah, they were looking into rearing their own crocodiles in a croc farm in Australia just for the bags) hence its exclusivity. The smallest size starts from a five figure price tags. And to think Victoria Beckham is rumoured to have about a hundred of these... Please note it is not to be mistaken with the Hermes Kelly bag (placed in the bottom right corner of this collage for comparison) even though I think the difference is too clear. I give you the Birkin bag:

I love all the little Birkin bags at the top of the collage. Paired with classic YSL heels, the Birkin bag is a must have in the wardrobe of any power dresser (coming soon to Andiva's closet). If you owned a Birkin bag, what you put in it?
