Alali: A child born in October, in a season of celebration!

My friends and I love to feel cute with ourselves. The trip to Ghana was for a bunch of us and people kept dropping out until it was just us 3 Alalis - Member, Oroma and Me- Ocotber's Very Own (OVO).

03, 10, 13... why those numbers? Member's 3rd October, Oroma's 10 and add them both and you have me, 13th! Don't ask who came up with that.

Needless to say, we had a fabulous time in our 3 nights or so in the city of Accra. Fashion, food and shopping kept us busy the entire time. Meet our friend, Ziggy who owns the shop we wanted to buy out. He gave us new names except me though: Andie, Bandie (Oroma) and Candie (Member) and Ziggy tagged himself Dandie and declared us family and made friendship bracelets to seal the deal. Jokes! He's the funniest fellow I've met in a while!

I heart Alali + Christie Brown

It's been a month since my last post. I'm glad to tell you I have my camera back! In the past month I've turned 25, started doing a 60-day high intensity cardio work out called Insanity, travelled to Ghana for the very first time, been reading for  my exam, CFA level 1, which is the primary reason I have been absent from the blogosphere.

The trip to Ghana was a birthday gift to myself and the timing couldn't have been more perfect, it was the weekend of the first ever Ghana Fashion and Design Week! I went with my 'Alalis' - details of the Ghana trip in the next post. I got the opportunity to work backstage with Alali Boutique (a personal love) and while there, fell in love with Christie Brown too! The jewellery used to style the Christie Brown collection is by Nigerian Ghana-based designer, Tebazile. Here are a little more than a few backstage photos... Enjoy!
